Steamboat Springs 2021

Ski trip in Steamboat Springs. The ski resort is diverse, with many different trails for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The snow here is generally dry, which means it is powdery and great for skiing. I stayed at the Sheraton, in the resort and a short walk to the ski lifts. The Sheraton has a heated pool to relax in. The hotel also has a store for equipment rentals. During my time, weather consisted of partly cloudy skies with occasional snow.

Steamboat Springs is located near geothermal hot springs. There are two popular places for people to soak in natural hot springs: Old Town Hot Springs and Strawberry Park. I visited Strawberry Park Hot Springs. This mountain park has three pools fed by natural spring water. Temperatures vary: one pool has cold water (fed by the nearby creek), another has warm water (90 degrees), and another has hot water (105 degrees). In the hot water pool, water from the cold creek mix with super hot water and flow into the pool. The springs are relaxing, and a great way to unwind after a day of skiing.
