Park City 2019

Park City ski resort has two main sections: Mountain Village and Canyons Village. The sections are connected by a gondola. The base is at 7,000 ft elevation and peak is at 10,000 ft. The trails are mostly intermediate to expert (blues and black diamonds); very few beginner runs (green). I skied the green and blue trails in both sections, at one point going to the peak at Mountain Village and skied the blue trail down. Weather was cloudy, with occasional sunshine and then heavy snow on my last ski day. Lots of snow also fell the days before I started skiing, setting up for fresh trails. We stayed at Shadowridge hotel in Mountain Village, a short walk to the lifts. The hotel also has a ski rental shop and hot tub.

My ski data:

At nighttime, we went to the historic Main Street for dinner. Lots of restaurants, shops, and colored lights. As a nice bonus, I saw the total lunar eclipse from Main Street - the eclipse was a super blood wolf moon where the moon turned into a faint red-orange color.

On a sunny day at Salt Lake City airport, you have a nice view of the mountains and the Great Salt Lake when taking off or landing.
